Video Monitoring has Arrived. Videofied is a burglar alarm system with built in video verification. The Videofied Motion Viewer is a self powered wireless radio device that combines a standard PIR and a digital day/night vision camera in one unit. In essence the Motion Viewer performs the role of a virtual electronic security guard and reports almost instantaneously what has been seen through the eye of the Motion Viewer by the day / night vision camera.  Unlike CCTV, verification is the objective of the Motion Viewer, not identification.

As our control room will be able to verify the exact status of an alarm signal we will notify the police for a genuine verified alarm and we will have no need to action what we now know is a false alarm.

1. Travel to the premises and inspect the property yourself.

The police require verification of a break in to respond accordingly. Given we can provide video verification for a genuine alarm, the police are contacted and respond as a “crime is in progress”.

Standard monitoring via a standard alarm system notifies the security control room that a “blind” detection device has been triggered within a property and without physical attendance there is no means of verifying whether the alarm is false or genuine.

Although early notification is advantageous, standard monitoring is primarily beneficial for the home or business owner to be able to re-secure the premises in the event of a burglary being realised or to be able to provide verification of a break in for police attendance. It is not about catching criminals.

If you decide to inspect the property, it may be hours before it is convenient and therefore you will arrive well after the fact. If you can attend effectively immediately you can also run the risk of finding yourself in a dangerous situation if confronted by a criminal. Videofied provides almost instantaneous verification of a burglary in progress meaning we contact the police directly and they attend accordingly knowing there is a crime in progress.
