Standby Security Services Pty Ltd provides the most highly trained and qualified guards. Any security guard employed by Standby Security has been thoroughly prepared to keep your premises and personal possessions safe.  All officers and protective guards undergo thorough screening before being hired. Large firms can be too large to monitor and guarantee the qualifications and competency of their guards. Standby Security is the perfect size, being large enough to have all the resources needed to meet your security needs, but still able to work with you personally to answer all your questions and determine the best approach to your individual circumstance.

We understand that all security needs are not always planned. For Emergencies such as alarm malfunctions, plumbing or electrical problems, criminal mischief, gate/door malfunctions, employee safety issues or natural disasters. 

• Accredited security training
  Standby Security ensures all guards have received the relevant Police and state approved security training. Specialised in-house training is conducted when required covering first aid, vehicle searches, bomb threats and fire evacuation.
• Site specific training
  Standby Security tailors induction packages for site-specific training, delivered to each Officer on a permanent guarding site. Orientation of customers’ building maintenance systems, risk analysis and business routines are established to ensure your guard is proactive from day one.

Mobile Patrols

Standby Security Mobile Patrols are a cost effective way to have a security presence at your premises, acting as a deterrent without the cost of a full time guard.

Standby Security’s mobile patrol services have been securing businesses for over 20 years, with a reputation for reliability. Through training and familiarity with the sites they patrol, Standby Security Patrol Officers can react quickly to any irregularities.

Maximum benefit can be gained from a service where the Standby Security Patrol Officer carries client’s keys in a secure environment and conducts an internal after-hours inspection of the site. 

This ensures that the maintenance of the site is preserved, allowing for identification of situations such as potential fire hazards, unsecured company information and systems and other irregularities.

The patrol officer will immediately contact and notify a company representative of any storm or malicious damage, attempted and/or confirmed break and enter, or vandalism.

National Response Centre 

Managing your mobile patrol security is streamlined through our National Response Centre. This innovative solution supports your business, with one single point of contact for national mobile patrol coordination. Professional, friendly customer service officers are specifically trained in mobile patrol services, delivering speedier reporting and on-time feedback.

Alarm response

When an alarm is triggered, a fast and reliable response is critical to ensure minimal loss or damage to your premises.

On arrival, patrol officers will conduct a complete external check of premises to ensure the site is secure – Internal checks are conducted if keys/alarm codes held.

If a security breach is detected, the patrol officer will advise the response centre and remain on site until the breach is secured or cleared to leave by an authorised contact.

Risk Assessment

How secure is your site? There are a thousand strategies that can be used to invade and steal from you. Each of these has a countermeasure that needs to be in place before it is required.

Trained Standby Security experts can audit and advise to help you anticipate possible breaches of your security, and recommend ways to minimise your risk.

Staff Escorts

When you or your employees need to be accompanied for security reasons, Standby Security has professionals who will advise and protect you, and any personal belongings that you need to be guarded in transit.

Standby’s professional Security Officers will assist you in the lock-up of your premises and then escort your staff off site to their vehicle or nearest public transport.

Opening / Closing of Premises

Standby Security can attend your property and ensure that it is open for business prior to staff and/or customers arrival – and then ensure it is completely secured at the end of trade. This service extends to both professional and public buildings, such as amenities or sporting facilties to corporate office complexes.

Cash In Transit

Standby Security utilizes a covert (plain clothed) and soft skinned (non armoured) cash in transit service.

This service is suited to clients who have low to medium levels of cash, jewellery or small valuables to transit, and who wish remove this responsibility and risk from their staff.

Each service conducted has its own risk assessment in line with legislation, which is revisited every 12 months.

Permanent Patrol Services

Patrol officers, on each patrol, conduct a full external check of all buildings, including all external doors, windows and roller shutters. Patrol officers to visually inspect the “yard” and common areas.

The primary function of the patrol officer is to “Detect and Deter” any wrong doers from entering site and to reduce possible vandalism at the premises.

Where possible, any security breach will be rectified by the patrol officer on site. If required, major problems will be reported to the listed after hours contacts for their advice and/or action

Random Patrol Service

Standby Security has the ability to deliver ad hoc patrol services. Undertaken when a security related issue at the premises is identified by the client, a Patrol Officer can be dispatched promptly to perform random mobile patrol services to protect the property.

On each random patrol, Patrol Officers will conduct a full external check of all buildings, including checking all external doors, windows and roller shutters. Patrol officers to visually inspect the “yard” and common areas.

This includes notification of water leaks, refrigeration and air conditioning malfunctions, power outage and generator operation as required.
